Trackmatic’s eighth year of business innovation has been our best one yet. We’ve delivered a better way of working to some of the most incredible clients in the country. Here are a few of our 2017 highlights.

Delivering Innovation to Southern Africa with What3Words

In December we partnered with What3Words and a client to pilot the revolutionary What3Words navigation and mapping system in South Africa. As a launch partner of What3Words in South Africa, our aim is pioneer innovative solutions to address the address validation challenges faced by our clients in the home delivery sector. The What3Words algorithm has taken the world by storm, making it possible to pinpoint the location of any 3x3m point on the planet with GPS technology, and naming it with a unique combination of three words. This means accurate navigation and delivery to rural and undeveloped areas, without the need to rely on formal street names or unreliable landmarks. We loved running the pilot and look forward to sharing the result with you – watch this space!

The Absa Jewish Achiever Awards

Our CEO David Slotow was nominated for a prestigious Absa Jewish Achiever Award 2017 in the Entrepreneur category. It was a boost for the entire Trackmatic team to see David recognised for his tireless dedication to excellence, client service, and innovative technology. Of course, there was celebratory tequila in the office!

Taking on Massdiscounters as a client was not only about supplying an execution management system. We provided them with 24/7 support, complete transparency, and boardroom-ready business intelligence from our customised dashboards.

This complete solution was enthusiastically adopted by both drivers and managers, leading to 3,674 deliveries completed on time, and a substantial 14% increase in driver KPIs from September to December 2017.

Saving 25% Fuel Costs and Empowering Drivers at Kolok I.T. Distribution

The Kolok I.T. Distribution team was provided with an end-to-end operational logistics solution, streamlining their operations while creating complete visibility. Not only has Trackmatic helped reduce vehicle usage by 25%, while creating a further 25% in fuel savings, what makes us extra proud is that the Kolok drivers feel empowered and aligned to business objectives. Check out our case study for the full story.

Some of our highlights include:

  • Onboarding Silveray Stationery with our On-Road Execution™ and Driver-Led Visibility™ solutions, leading to 100% routing daily since the project commenced.
  • Creating visibility solutions for Bidvest Waltons
  • Developing a Parcel Management software solution specifically for our client RTT Style’s delivery tracking needs.
  • We maintained excellent service for our ongoing clients including Famous Brands, The Fruitspot, Vector Logistics, Fair Cape Dairies, Norman Goodfellows, Peters Papers, Eureka DIY and Barloworld Logistics.
  • We welcomed G.Fox, Bridgestone and Massbuild as clients in December, finishing 2017 on a definite high note.

New additions to the team

2017 saw the highest growth and onboarding of new staff to our team. We have welcomed some really talented people over the last year and have been delighted to welcome them into our Tequila culture!
