Sol is an Actuary be education and a businessman by experience. He matriculated in 1981, and subsequently graduated from Wits University with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Statistics.
Sol worked at 2 listed Insurance Companies whilst he was studying, and, by the time he qualified, he was a Deputy General Manager.
Sol has also been a trustee, and indeed was the Chairman for a few years, of the Discovery Health Medical Scheme.
After qualifying as an Actuary in 1993, Sol left to start a business with a colleague – a call-centre business called O’Keeffe & Swartz. By the time he left the business in 2007, it was a successful business (and still is!) employing close to 1,000 people. He then took a sabbatical for a couple of years, before joining David Slotow in Trackmatic, where his primary responsibility is growing people.
Ross obtained a degree in Computer Science (Bsc IT) from the University of Johannesburg in 2005. During the final year of his studies he represented South Africa as a regional finalist in the Microsoft Imagine Cup held in India. Ross spent the formative years of his career with PDEV where he worked as a consultant gaining broad experience working on a number of large enterprise software systems.
Ross is responsible for guiding the team in designing and building the scalable software solutions which make up the Trackmatic product suite, and growing a skilled team of Software Developers to take the product into the future.
David completed his degree in Computer Science (Bsc IT) at RAU followed by his honors in Computer Science where he graduated Cum Laude in 2001. David then spent the next 8 years running a successful software business Caulfield House which developed bespoke solutions for a diverse spread of industries ranging from digital imaging processing to the South African Diamond Board. He joined Trackmatic from the inception in 2009.
David is responsible for the Trackmatic internal systems which employees use to run the business efficiently. His primary focus is the area of business intelligence where he uses data analytics to provide leading edge insight for Trackmatic’s customers.
David graduated from RAU in 2002 with a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Investment Management whilst working at ATM Solutions where he spent several years gaining experience in starting and building successful companies. Over the course of his career he has been involved in several other start-ups and his entrepreneurial spirit and drive to build his own global legacy culminated in him founding Trackmatic in 2009.
David is responsible for driving the innovation and strategy and focusses on working very closely with our clients to understand what is required and how Trackmatic can evolve its solution to make our clients more efficient.
